Fitted vs. Snapback
Everyone likes wearing a good baseball hat, but the different types have changed in popularity over the years. Early on, the style was a snapback hat –– a hat with snaps that you were able to adjust to the size of your head. But in recent years, the fitted cap - a hat that only fits a certain size head and is not able to be adjusted - has grown to be more popular. Flat Bill vs. Shaped Bill
Much like anything you wear, baseball hats have evolved in the way people wear them as fashion trends change. While it was once more popular to wear baseball caps with a nice shaped bill that is curved, it has since started to become more and more popular for people to not curve and shape the bill whenever they buy a new hat. It’s now the trend to keep the bills on hats flat, the way they come when you purchase a hat in the store. It’s also started to become the way that a lot of baseball players have started to wear their hats - which could explain why many fans now wear them like that as well.
